EXTRACTIVE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF VANADIUM WITH ANTHRANILIC ACID IN PRESENCE OF PYRIDINE
Authors: not saved
Abstract:
Vanadium (III) gives a greenish- yellow complex with anthranilic acid in presence of pyridine. The complex is extractable with chloroform and is used for photometric determination of vanadium by measuring the absorbance at 390 nm against a reagent blank. Beer's Law holds good in the range of 1-20 pg V/ml. Moderate amounts of Pb (II) , Ca (II) , Sr (II) , Ba (II) , Cd (II) , Mg (II) , Mn (II) , Ni (II) , Co (II) , Cu (II) , Zn (II) and limited amounts of W (VI), A1 (III), Th (IV), Zr (IV), Sn (II), Sb (III), Ti(IV), Fe (III), and Cr (VI) can be tolerated. U (VI) and Mo (VI) interfere

Extractive spectrophotometric determination of ambrisentan.
PURPOSE Ambrisentan (ABS) is an antihypertensive drug used in the treatment of pulmonary atrial hypertension. The survey of literature for ABS revealed only two spectrophotometric methods for its quantification. The reported methods lack the sensitivity. This study is aimed at developing two sensitive extractive spectrophotometric methods for the determination of ABS in bulk and in tablets. M...
full textEXTRACTIVE-SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF VANADIUM(V) AS AN ION-ASSOCIATION COMPLEX WITH 4-(2-PYRIDYLAZ0)-RESORCINOALN D TETRABUTYLAMMONIUM PERCHLORATE
A simple and sensitive extractive- spectrophotometric method for thedeterrnination of trace amounts of vanadium(V) is reported. The method is based on the quantitative extraction of the anion complex of V(V) with 4-(2-pyridy1azo)-resorcinol with tetrabutylammonium perchlorate into chloroform, followed by spectrophotometric measurements at 554 nm. Beer's law is obeyed over the concentration ...
full textStudy of New Selective Reagent Acetophenone 2’, 4’- Dihydroxy Semicarbazone for Extractive Spectrophotometric Determination of Vanadium
Acetophenone 2’, 4’dihydroxy semicarbazone [A24DHS], a new analytical reagent is proposed as a sensitive and selective spectrophotometric reagent for Vanadium (V). The reagent A24DHS is synthesized in the laboratory and characterized by NMR, IR and elemental analysis. A selective spectrophotometric method is presented for the trace determination of Vanadium using A24DHS as spectrophotometric re...
full textSolvent Extraction Spectrophotometric Determination of Vanadium Using Sodium Salt of 2-Mercapto-Pyridine-N-Oxide as a Reagent
A solvent-extraction spectrophotometric technique is proposed as a new method for determination of trace quantities of vanadium. Sodium salt of 2-mercapto-pyridine-N-oxide (thione) forms a complex with vanadium instantaneously. The purple 1:2 complex is formed of pH 2.3, easily extracted in chloroform and shows strong absorbance at 500 nm. The extracted complex is found to obey Beer's law i...
full textKINETIC DETERMINATION OF ASCORBIC ACID a WITH SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETECTION
A simple and rapid method has been developed for the determination of ascorbic acid in fruit and pharmaceutical products. The method is based on the measurement of the reaction rate between ammonium molybdate and ascorbic acid in acidic media. The reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically at 800 nm by fixed-time and variable-time methods. The calibration graph was linear in the range of...
full textExtractive spectrophotometric determination of levetiracetam in pharmaceutical formulations
Three simple, economical, precise, reliable and reproducible visible spectrophotometric methods (A, B and C) have been developed for the estimation of Levetiracetam in bulk as well as in Tablet formulation. The developed methods A, B and C are based on the formation of chloroform extractable complex of Levetiracetam with Bromocresol green (method A), Bromophenol blue (method B) and Bromothymol ...
